Pretty Wedding Photo Display Idea to Heart Your Special Day
Celebrate the season of love with this pretty wedding photo display idea to relive your magical moments everyday!

How many hours do we spend planning our perfect wedding day only to end up filling a photo album and tucking it up on a shelf or in a drawer?!?! Why not display them where you can see them all the time.

Initially, this heart frame had only 3 white clips (without hearts). It was meant to be used as a memo board, but I knew I could repurpose it for some of our favourite wedding photos.
Though I also have some large framed wedding pictures in our bedroom, I liked the idea of a more casual grouping for my home office space.
Where to find a heart shaped frame:
This heart frame was from HomeSense (HomeGoods in the U.S) and I see them regularly at Winners/ Marshalls in white and pink. As well, both Michaels and Bouclair often have heart shaped decor in stock.
No matter the colour, the frame can easily be customized with a little craft paint. As an alternative, I’ve listed an online option in the supplies list below.

Creating a pretty wedding photo layout:
Layout: Start in the centre and work your way out. Choose photos that tell the story of your day. These can include behind the scenes and candid shots that really capture the essence of the whole experience.
Colour scheme: I chose to combine black/white and coloured photos because I wanted to see the purple details I’d incorporated into our wedding theme. This makes for a more casual and playful arrangement that still looks cohesive.

Special people: Our boys were young at our wedding, but were still a big part of our special day. It’s not easy getting photos of little people who just want to run around in the grass. Their hats and shoes were the first things to come off once their wee feet touched the ground. lol

Wedding photo display supplies needed:
4 Simple Steps:
For this project, I began by removing the existing clips using my hairdryer on high for 30 seconds. This softens the glue so you can easily peel it off. (This is also my favourite trick for removing sticky price tags from décor!)

Next, I arranged the photos on the board until I found a pleasing layout. This also helped me determine how many clips I would need.

Then, once I was happy with the placement, I grabbed my glue gun and re-attached the clips to in their new position.

Finally, I attached a little wooden heart to each clip. These craft hearts are from the dollar store, but you could also find them in the supply list link above.

Why not paint the hearts white? You could definitely paint these hearts any colour that works with your colour scheme. Since the wood brought some warmth to all the black and white of the frame and pictures, I decided to keep them “au natural”.
The wood hearts combined with the cream linen backing on the frame gives the whole project a soft, neutral and romantic charm.

Since my “office” is a desk in the kitchen, overlooking the family room, it’s easily visible to everyone. It was important to personalize the space, while making it cohesive with the rest of the main floor decor.

Bonus tip:
This project also makes a perfect Valentine’s or Anniversary gift! In addition, by using a memo board frame, you can easily change up photos whenever you want a new look.
What a simply pretty way to display some of our favourite moments from our special day….xoxo
